I’ve been working through this wonderful book and completed the section on activity as a remedy for depression. The advice is wonderfully simple and addresses the fact that when we are depressed our senses can feel dulled. The remedy is to mindfully record one small instance in your day that piques each of your five senses. Today I enjoyed the sight and taste of this cute little cluster of grapes from a vendor at the Farmer’s Market. Now on to sound, smell, and touch. I’m thinking the sound of the vacuum being pushed by a buff man rubbed in sandalwood scented massage oil would be quite satisfying….
